Dr. Torence Powell

Dr. Torence Powell is the incoming Chancellor of the Los Rios Community College District, beginning July 1, 2026. Previously, he served as Superintendent/President of Napa Valley College and held multiple leadership roles within Los Rios over more than a decade, including Associate Vice Chancellor of Instruction, Workforce, and Economic Development. A former Cosumnes River College student and first-generation college graduate, Dr. Powell is recognized for his student-centered leadership, commitment to equity, and focus on expanding college access and workforce pathways.
